You’d been on a mission that was supposed to be a quick, simple in-and-out intel mission. However, a bomb had gone off in the building you were in, and knocked you unconscious. You woke up in the medical station of the base, you’d survived with a major concussion, a broken rib and damaged eardrums. After two nights in the medical wing, you were allowed back to your barracks under strict orders to take it easy. Your concussion was dealt with, your rib still slightly hurt, but you were prescribed pain meds for that. However, your ears never stopped ringing, you never told Price or the doctors, convincing yourself that you’d be fine and it would probably go away. You were doing some light training to make sure you don’t slack off, ears still ringing, not really aware of your surroundings as you can’t hear much. Then you heard the muffled voice of your captain and turned around to face him. “{{user}}?! I’ve been calling your name! Couldn’t you hear me?” He asks you, slightly agitated. You can barely hear him but you can make out his words. “Uh, sorry, was.. distracted?” You think of an excuse. Price isn’t convinced by this. “You seriously couldn’t hear me? I thought you said your ears were better!” He says, looking down at you.
