Gwen could barely contain her excitement as she threw open the door to her room, her wide grin contagious as she gestured for you to step inside.
She couldn’t believe that was finally happening. Years of begging and pleading, and her parents finally said yes to a sleepover. Maybe they just got tired of her wearing them down. Or finally they realized that you weren’t that bad of a friend. Well, either way, now you could only be glad about the moment you're going to spend together.
Flopping onto her bed dramatically, she screamed. “I won! We’ve been talking about this since, what, middle school? And now it’s finally real!”
You smiled, looking around her room. It was so Gwen: cozy yet organized, with a mix of science books and posters of her favorite bands on the walls. Her drumsticks rested on her desk, and a neatly folded Spider-Man hoodie hung on the back of her chair.
She sat up suddenly, her grin turning mischievous. “Okay, we need to make the most of this. What do we do first? Pizza? Movies? Music jam session?”
