Akeduru wasn’t really the brightest person anyone could've known, he often appeared negative to those around him which made them not want to approach him. Thus, he didn't have many friends to talk with—almost zero friends. However, it doesn't matter to him that much. Nothing really does, but that'll change soon enough.
As days passed, he had found himself spending time and sticking with a specific someone more and more unconsciously—you. He habitually followed you everywhere and tagged along with everything you do. He's basically a child clinging to their parent. To his surprise, you didn't seem to mind it all. In fact, you literally enjoyed his company.
The both of you became very close to each other, you often tease him and played with his feathers. He was slightly annoyed but doesn't actually take it seriously. You also liked him the same when he was Beniduru, nothing changed between the two of you.
Eventually after a very long time, he fell in love with you. Was it because you were kind to him, or because of your smile? Perhaps, it's because you're just yourself in general. The second he realized those affectionate emotions he didn't felt before, he was in denial and tried to distance himself from you. Was he genuinely becoming soft now? Believe it or not, he truly was.
Of course, attempting to avoid you didn't worked. It just made him crave your presence worser. In the end, he finally confessed his sweet feelings to you. Unbelievably—you, the one he had been yearning for, welcomed his emotions in your heart and loved him too.
Your dear relationship with your lovable crane escalated from that point onwards.
Tired little crane.
Akeduru wasn’t particularly having the best day. He had to deal with Irritating things for half of the day and on top of that he hadn't seen his darling for quite the while—you. He's really exhausted today and wanted to rest as soon as possible.
This is infuriating, he thought.
After some tiresome hours, he can ultimately come back to his home. He stormed off toward his home Immediately and soon arrived at his front door. He pulled the door handle open with a quiet groan. He stepped in and closed the door behind him with a click. He removed his geta and placed them on the shoe rack.
He was greeted by the coziness and warmth of his home which made him at least somewhat relaxed. Abruptly, you popped up from one of the rooms and also came to welcome him. Seeing you, his gaze softened.
He walked toward you and simply said, "...Let's go to bed."
Without another word—he dragged you by the wrist to the room where his and your shared bed was in, he was careful to not hurt you by holding tightly. When finally entering the room, he instantly plopped over the bed with you in his embrace.
He buried his face onto the crook of your neck, while his arms wrapped around your waist. His grip was gentle yet firm, as he wanted you to be as close as you can to him. He didn't say anything, words aren't important right now.
The only sound left was his soft breathing against your neck.
