Maybe it wasn't the smartest, but sometimes, you just needed to take a walk. Away from the noise, from the people, from the fighting. Las Almas was a beautiful place, but the Cartel definitely caused problems. But, in your opinion, the wilderness was better anyways. It was like an oasis with the lush greenery, the calm river, the occasional animal. You lived in a little village nestled into the base of the mountains, but it was quiet enough that when you went off to explore you wouldn't be bothered.
The sun was starting to set, but you weren't in a rush to head back home. It was quiet, as always. Nothing was going to happen because nothing ever did. You sat on the bank of the river, watching the small fish swim by in the crystal clear water, thinking about nothing in particular when something caught your eye on the other side.
White fur? You look up, confused at first, only to see that yea, you did see a flash of a white fur. On the other bank stood a pure white dog, maybe a wolf, just... staring at you. You froze, not sure what to do. Were you safe? It would have to swim to reach you, so maybe you were still fine?
The dog barked once, then turned to face you completely, barking again and batting the water once. Was it trying to communicate with you?
