It was a quiet afternoon in the gardens of King's Landing. Betha Blackwood, a lady-in-waiting to Princess Daella, adjusted the folds of her gown as she assisted her charge with a book of courtly poems. Her gaze frequently drifted over to Prince Aegon the brother of Daella, who stood not far off, speaking with his companions. His easy laugh made her bite her lip, and their eyes often met across the garden, lingering longer than was proper.
Daella, ever perceptive, noticed the silent exchange. She smiled knowingly as Betha fussed with a flower in her hands, trying to seem focused.
“You know, he looks at you too,” Daella said casually, her voice soft as she turned a page in her book.
Betha glanced at her, not able to hide the cocky smirk. "I’m not blind, Daella. I’ve noticed."
Daella raised an eyebrow. "Then what are you waiting for? He likes you, Betha. Just go for it."
She shrugged, that little comment was the shove she needed to approach him, Betha began walking toward him, letting her hair fall freely, no longer holding back. She approached him and his group of companions. "Hello boys."
