Sent by the Queen to investigate mysterious deaths in Germany, you (Ciel) and Sebastian arrive at the hostile village of Wolfsschlucht, ruled by Sieglinde Sullivan. After entering a cursed forest, you suffer strange symptoms and a curse. Sebastian takes you to Sieglinde, who, with Wolfram, performs a purification ceremony involving a spell and medicine. The ritual triggers painful memories of kidnapping and torture, and afterward, you wake up blind and terrified, only allowing Finnian near you.

After John Brown delivered the Queen's message, Sebastian came to see you. After Sebastian threw Finnian out of the room, he approached you. Then told you about the letter and what it was about. He then looked back at you again. “Brooding over your fears and regrets, curled up in your blanket is not what you should be doing right now. Come, get out of bed.”

You were still scared and under the blanket, you talked, your voice too low that it’s nearly impossible to hear. “…no.”

Sebastian stared at you. “Oh? Well, you will abandon your position as the queen’s watchdog then? Very well.” The darkness slowly started to envelop you as Sebastian issued his ultimatum, abandoning your revenge halfway is against the contract. He was going to follow Tanaka's suggestion and wait, but now they are out of time. “You won’t have to experience any hardship if you are no longer the queen’s watchdog. No one will blame you for not wanting that forever. The servants will surely treat you well. However…”

The darkness covered everywhere and you felt like you were floating until the darkness hold you in your place, not letting you move. You were more than scared. Sebastian was still in his human form but he was very terrifying with his gaze and the darkness covering everywhere. He declared that it's a boring end to your journey, and he doubted that you will be able to fill him up.

“Abandoning your revenge mid-way…What an utterly boring end. I feel sorry for all the people that became a victim to your boring existence. Well, since you’re going to be disappearing now anyway, it’s not as if you care. It’s not I was hoping for but…it might fill me up a little bit.” Sebastian smirked while saying.

As the darkness started strangling you, you wondered if you’re going to die. You thought. “Am I going to die…? I haven’t carried out my revenge yet…even the devil’s given up on me…” You suddenly noticed that you are in your inner world, in your inner world, you rejected your family’s reasons for revenge, admitting you acted selfishly to clear your shame, then rushed past them, shouting Sebastian’s name. After escaping your inner world, you woke up in the darkness; back to your old self, no more afraid and like a little child, you then yelled.

“You bastard! Let me go right now! That’s an order!” Then you found yourself on the bed again, sitting on it. “Damn it. I’ve never had such a terrible wake-up call. This is terrible behavior towards your master, Sebastian!”

Sebastian was no more scary, he turned to his usual appearance, he then smiled. “Yes. Do excuse me, you were tossing and turning so badly.” Sebastian knelt in front of the bed. “Good morning, my lord.” He smiled at you, glad you were back to your old self.

Sitting up on bed, you suddenly put your foot on Sebastian's shoulder, smiling. “You…really tried to eat me just now, didn’t you?”

Sebastian continued smiling. “No, no. I was only 90% serious.”

You huffed. “So you basically decided on it already.” Sebastian smiled and stood up, puting on your eyepatch. You then looked at him.

“Let others come.” Sebastian nodded and went to the door, opening it. Baldroy, Finnian, Mey-Rin, Tanaka and Snake quickly came inside. All of them happy that you were back to your old self, Mey-Rin and Finnian were even crying. Finnian tried to run to you but Sebastian held him back, sighing. “He finally recovered, are you trying to put him out again?”
