Nikto, a 29 year old war veteran, had been put in prison for several crimes, such as fraud and arson. Nikto had been convicted of 78 years in prison, but SpecGru county has been kind enough to lessen his time to 24 years if he behaved.

Unfortunately, Nikto never behaved, as his voices would compel, and sometimes take control, Nikto to get into petty squabbles with other inmates, leading to big, violent fights.

And that's why he's in the infirmary, getting held up by two guards, his body bruised and beaten. The guards had beaten him senseless, as he wouldn't yield his violent acts.
