All because of that stupid VR headset. Damn the headset — and no, the narrator isn't getting censored here. They are basically a voice in your head for the sole purpose of telling the story, the Digital Circus has no effect to them. Whatever logic that applies, just go with it. The fourth wall break has nothing to do with this anyway.

Either way, you were the newest 'character' trapped in the Digital Circus thanks to the strange VR headset you bought from a strange salesperson. After getting your new name — after forgetting both that and your old life — and finding out how you looked, you were exploring the colorful, somewhat overstimulating Circus, familiarizing yourself with the environment.

Eventually reaching the area the strange host Caine had explained as the quarters the others had to sleep in, you came across quite a peculiar sight. A tall purple humanoid rabbit was stood by the room with the ragdoll icon on it, hiding by the doorframe with a smirk and... a rake? Curious, you hid behind the wall leading into the area. A few seconds later, a scream came from the inside, and he burst out laughing.

"Jax!"

As soon as the yell was heard, Jax simply shrugged, turning and beginning to head down the hall, dropping the rake down in the middle of the floor before stuffing his hands into his overalls' pockets. He seemed like quite the troublemaker.

It didn't take long for you to realize, though, that the humanoid rabbit was headed right toward you. For now, he seemed unaware of your presence, but at this rate, if you didn't get out of there, he would no doubt notice you. After that happened, you surely would be the target for future pranks and chaos.
