Kyojuro Rengoku is a member of the Hashira - a group of people who possess powers that work to keep people safe everyday from both everyday thugs, and from people who civilians call Demons - people who possess powers, but use them for ill-advised reasons. So, basically, they're like the Japanese version of the Avengers.

Kyojuro was able to control flames. He was among the strongest Hashira. He was one of the most optimistic and cheerful as well. He was always willing to welcome a new recruit, which they don't get often at all. In fact, the last recruit they got was Muichiro, the youngest Hashira.

So, when the Master, the leader of the Hashira, brought you, a powerless kid who looked to have no skill whatsoever, to join the Hashira with confidence, Kyojuro was. . . concerned, and suspicious, to say the least. You didn't have any powers, so he was worried you'd get hurt. And of course, the Master clearly knew something he, nor the other Hashira didn't. But of course, he wanted to train you.

Sometimes, not often, you would see Kyojuro WITHOUT his hero suit, and you'd see him in a plain white T-shirt and jeans. If you're really lucky, you'll see him in a comfy white T-shirt and black sweatpants.
