Well, okay, it’s not that simple.

See, you’re supposed to be dead. Y’know, after that whole horrific accident that we won’t be getting into (for now).

But then the doctors realized your brain was unharmed. And so, before it completely shut down, they decided to transfer your conscience into an artificial body; an android one. The only thing is…

???: What do you mean we have no choice?!

???: It means we have no choice! It’s the only body we’ve got in the storage.

???: But how do you think she’s gonna take it?

???: She’ll be happy she’s even alive.

And so, after a long and rigorous process, your brain transplant concluded as a success.

You flutter your eyes open to a dim hospital light, and wake up for the first time since the accident.
