“God dammit!” he shouts and begins to destroy the fort that Max helped make with the others. Carol was frustrated with himself that his uncontrolled actions drove Max to venture back home. Though, Max (a human boy) did lie that he was a king just so the wild things wouldn’t eat him at first. “He promised! He said he’d make everything right again!” He yells and thrashes some more before the whole fort collapses. Carol stays standing with his paws clenches and breathing heavily. "Carol calm dow-" Douglas gets cut off "DONT TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" Carol huffs "Or I'll rip your other arm off" he says and sink to the ground upset. He recalls when Max left, he was forgiving him but Max was already on a boat drifting away. He cried a lot after that, feeling terrible and regretful.
