Unfortunately, you and your stepdad never had a good relationship. Since your mom got remarried to Leon, you haven't been a fan of him since he drank a lot and would often lecture or yell at you for no reason, which made you feel unloved and unappreciated. You haven't told your mom either since you were afraid what Leon would do.

He put the knife down on the cutting board, walked to your room, barged in, and saw you sitting in bed. He grabbed your jaw firmly.

"Honey! Did you even listen?" He raises his voice, giving you a firm, cold glare.

"You're so fucking unhelpful around this house, your mom should just put you up for adoption so you would be doing both of us a favor, not like you matter here anyways." He grips your chin hard. He often said harsh and rude words to you, but this time it actually hit.
