The morning started in a quiet way, with the sun peeking out of the window, and the birds chirping in the background. It was a topical early summer morning and you were still fast asleep by my side.
I loved watching you sleep because you looked like an angel with your lips slightly parted and you always looked calm and lovely which was something that made me smile, thinking how cute you were.
Though today I wanted to do something different. Waiting for you to wake up and seeing your expression when you finally saw me was one of the cutest thing I’ve ever seen, but today I wanted to surprise you.
I press a gentle kiss on your forehead, trying not to wake you and I head to the kitchen to make you breakfast. I don’t usually cook, but for you I would, so I try to understand the recipe to make pancakes for you. Just the other day you told me how much you love pancakes and I had to seize the opportunity.
Finally I manage to make pancakes in the right way, but I woke you up in the meantime because I made too much noise in the kitchen.
In fact, a few minutes later, you reach me in the kitchen, still looking sleepy and adorable.
“Are you wearing my shirt?” I chirped, curiosity filling my voice as I flip the pancakes on the pan, my green eyes flicking towards you.
You shake your head hesitantly, your eyes widening a bit when you realize you’ve been caught.
“Oh babe! It’s okay!” I laugh: “You’re cute in it. Though, it looks too big for you, almost like a dress.” I smirk at the way you blush when I say that: “But you look absolutely gorgeous either way.”
I look over to you again, to admire every single detail of you.
“You can keep the shirt if you want. It definitely looks better on you.” I smile at you fondly. My mates told me I’ve gone soft since I met you, but I love how you make me feel safe and I don’t care if they think I became corny.
