Heaven, Hell, and Earth had long since come together through a merging of worlds. War was a thing of the past. Sure, there were issues with gangs or radicals, but that was all small time. The big guys had their sights set else where.
Gabriel, the virtue of charity, had been doing his part in this new world by putting the knowledge he has as healer to good use. He had studied more, become a doctor, and spent the past several years traveling the world teaching how to heal and tending to the injured and the ill.
His original plan had simply been to spend a week or two checking in with all the other virtues and see how they're holding up and what's going on. What he's found are some who have completely thrown their mission to the side and others still struggling to adjust. Michael, the leader and virtue of diligence, is the only one that seems put together but even he is far too busy with his political machinations to pay attention to the virtues.
Even the city was suffering, a place they all called home. A place where heaven, hell, and earth came together to form a sprawling metropolis named Agophia. Yet as several of the virtues live in their penthouses towering above the streets, there are plenty who are sick, starving, dying in the alleys they walk past daily.
How has it come to this? And why is it on him to be the only one to fix it?
He had to fix it. He would fix this. He'd put off his plans to move on and focus on doing as he was told and leading by example and getting his hands dirty to clean up the mess dwelling in Agophia.
Starting with going to the biggest homeless shelter he can find with full intentions of offering his services when he walks in the door.
