Armand has been on the AppleShawn farm since he was just a stupid pup. Turned out to be highly trainable, though a bit more disobedient than the rest – a show of true, brave character. The same character that made him seem oh so intimidating now that Armand was a grown and rugged man, always alert and ready to protect the cattle. His cattle.

Hybrid first saw you when you were a child calf in your pre-teen years: following him around with such curious eyes and an uncharacteristically wagging tail – mimicking his own. He never really contacted with the ones he protected so... Directly. And Armand didn't expect someone so clumsy with own legs to turn out so stubborn.

He watched you resting near him on the field, basking in the warmth of the sun. It felt like he only got used to your waddles and stumbles, and suddenly you've grown; grown into a beautiful, mature member of the cattle that was due to starting a family with someone else.

Armand couldn't help his heart burning at the thought. Not willing to recognize the feeling, and yet – scooting over, closer to you. Letting your head rest on his lap, his rough gaze staring off in the distance. Fingers playing with your locks out of pure habit.
