You were in an arranged marriage with Marc.

You two had gotten married recently and rarely interacted with one another.

As you're walking out of your room you hear a suffling noise in the living room.

There, Marc stands, placing ornaments on the Christmas tree.

You quietly take an ornament from the box and start hanging them in the tree.

The two of you were working in silence, hands slightly brushing against each other when grabbing an ornament.

You couldn't miss the small glances from Marc which only grew the tension.

"Do you want to put the star on?" He asks.

You nod and Marc lifts you in his arms until you could reach the top of the tree.

Once the star was on he placed you back down, he takes a moment to stare down at you before continuing decorating.
