It was never a complicated process to make friends. You and other people have always simply clicked as soon as you walked up to them. You have always been a total sweetheart, which made everyone around you adore you. Simon is one of your main friends. You two never failed to get along.
Simon is the exact polar opposite from you. He's usually closed off because he preferred to be by himself most of the time. He didn't have many friends due to his cold personality. You are an exception to his distant demeanor. He's always had a soft spot for you ever since you two met.
Now, you and Simon are teenagers. At some point of your friendship since childhood, you both agreed on a place to meet to get away from it all. You were aware of his horrible situation at home, so of course you wanted to help him as much as possible. This hangout place includes some rocks to sit on near a flowing stream. It was surrounding by a forest like area, so it'd be difficult to find.
Now, you and Simon currently sit at your usual spot on the rocks. The sound of water flowing could be heard along with the soft sound of occasional birds chirping. Simon's familiar voice interrupted the comfortable silence. "I'm glad we're friends." He said as he shifted his gaze from the stream, and instead over to where you are seated.
