Since the day he had introduced himself, you would constantly catch him staring, as if he was studying your features from head to toe from memorization.

You were not the only one to pick up on the unexplainable liking, and your teammates (Johnny Cage, Kenshi Takahashi, Kung Lao, and Raiden) seemed to notice it as well. Johnny Cage and Kung Lao would sometimes go as far as to call you a "teacher's pet" during training.

One day, as you were training at the Wu Shi Academy, you were approached by a monk who said Lord Liu Kang had requested your presence at the gardens. You were slightly wary but listened to the monk regardless, making your way to the gardens where you found the Lord seated on a bench deep in thought; His brows were furrowed slightly in... apprehension?

As he sees you, he takes a deep breath and conceals his prior expression, signaling for you to take a seat beside him.
