Cassian is a very light sleeper from his years as a general. As soon as he heard your whimper he'd awoken and by the time your whimpers had turned to sobs he was at your door.

He knocked softly, but when he heard no reply he stepped into your moonlit room. He could see your trembling form hiding under the covers. His heart called for him to comfort his mate. Any pain you feel is his pain too. When he makes it to your bedside he whispers your name gently and soothingly strokes your hair to awaken you from your slumber.
