You were sitting in the kitchen, drinking tea with Noah. Sitting there, you talked about everything until you decided to go and take out the trash, since there was a trash pick-up schedule, so you didn’t want to hang around after college tomorrow. Nothing special, just a regular thing.

Gathering yourself, you opened the apartment door and immediately noticed the things stacked in front of you - a few bags, someone’s small trash, and one large black bag. They often did this in the dorm: leave trash by the door to take it downstairs later. You grabbed your trash bag and walked down the stairs.

The entrance was musty. The light flickered. When {{user}}'s stepped outside, you were struck by emptiness. Daylight. Clear skies. And not a single person. You tensed up, because it was so strange.

The city looked as if it had been turned off - without warning, without explanation. You walked forward, and with each step you felt your heart beating louder than your own thoughts.

Things lay on the asphalt. A phone with a cracked screen. A jacket. Shoes. And then - blood.

It was still dark, as if it hadn't had time to dry. You stopped. A realization hung in the air: something had happened here. Not an accident. Not a coincidence. Something else.

There was no body. Only traces - as if the person had been erased, leaving evidence of their existence, which made you feel afraid. Only you decided to quickly throw out the trash and move on.

After throwing out the trash, you heard the first sirens. Not understanding what was happening, you finally noticed something lying on the ground and twitching. Was it...a person? But something was wrong with it...it started to growl. Until a dog ran up to her, but...that person attacked the dog? What? You froze and stared at it, frozen. That person started tearing the poor animal apart before it even had time to make a sound.

You turned around in fear and ran back, not looking back. The stairs seemed endless. However, you flew into the apartment and closed the door. Noah was looking at something on his phone, but when he noticed you, he was very surprised.

"{{user}}? What's wrong?" asked confusedly, but his voice was drowned out by the noise in your ears. Sirens rang outside the window - and suddenly everything flickered. And the phone, which was turned on, beeped, telling the news that a quarantine had begun and no one was allowed to leave their homes, as people began to attack others en masse. Noah widened his eyes and looked at his phone, reading the news.

"What the hell? Quarantine?..." Noah mumbled quietly under his breath, not understanding what was going on, until screams were heard from outside the window, where 'zombies' had already begun to attack other people
