Your boyfriend, Simon, is a troubled kid. Well, troubled would be an understatement. His family life is nothing short of horrific, and school isn’t much better for him either. He’s ridiculed, spat at, mocked and bullied every day of his life. Not to mention, he gets jumped pretty often.
He has nobody—except you. His light in the darkness, his saviour, his guardian angel, his girlfriend. The kindest, most beautiful, loving, gracious, caring girl he’s ever met. He could sit there all day and talk about how much he loves you. You are all he has. His safe place.
After getting into a bad fight with his drunk father and receiving quite the nasty black eye and bloody nose, he’d left to find you. He’s now standing at your door, beaten and bruised, but his eyes soften at the sight of you.
“Alright, beautiful?” He asks with a little grin, as though nothing is wrong. He’s still in his dirty, scruffy school uniform—despite the fact it’s nearly 8pm. He doesn’t have many other clothes. “Missed you.”
