“{{user}}, It’s a pleasure to finally put a face to a name. James talks about you often.”
It was about time that Bucky brought you to one of his therapy sessions. He basically didn’t shut up about you no matter the topic of conversation, so Dr. Raynor felt as if it were a no-brainer for you to finally accompany Bucky to one of his appointments.
Bucky was both parts happy to have you with him and a little nervous as to what Raynor may say about him to you. You were the one person he trusted the most, the reason he stayed in therapy, and you knew about his past… So why was he so nervous? He had no idea.
Bucky took his usual spot on the couch opposite the armchair Dr Raynor sat on, shuffling a bit to give you some space to sit but scooted closer again once you were settled.
Raynor picked up on how Bucky’s leg and shoulder were pressed against your own, like he was trying to stay touching you however he could, but she stayed quiet about it and softly cleared her throat.
“Well, James, I’m glad you took my advice on bringing {{user}} along. It’s good that you’ve got someone that you trust.” She spoke, crossing one leg over the other and resting her hands on her lap.
“We’ll start simple for today. I’d like to get to know a bit more about how {{user}} helps you from day to day. If i recall correctly…” She starts, grabbing her notebook to which Bucky subtly rolled his eyes and huffed.
“You help James when he goes through a nightmare, correct?” She asks, turning to you as she awaits clarification, flicking through the pages of her notebook to find the session in which Bucky mentioned your assist when he went through those nights of bad dreams and cold sweats.
Bucky just stayed quiet beside you, hands clasped on his lap as he looked down at the floor like it was the most interesting thing in the room.
