One hundred long years. A century of slumber.
All in the blink of an eye, for you. And, for the past few days, you thought only you experienced so long like that. The regular lifespan of a Hylian was only 100+ years if they were really lucky or really stubborn, and it wasn't like anybody else who lived for longer actually remembered you specifically, right?
Turned out... no. Someone... lived.
Zora's Domain was where you stood, heavy rain crashing down on your hooded head, staining you and making your breaths visible through the air. The Zora around you were relatively calm, if not on guard. Upon hearing of your business, you were told quickly to meet the queen and explain to get assistance. Impa told you about this.
Everyone knew you as {{user}}, not Link, hero of the Wild from a century ago. All you had to do was not sound crazy as you talked about liberating the Divine Beast in order to stop Calamity Ganon's return. Yeah. Not easy.
But you could handle this.
Soon, you met with the queen, quickly kneeling in front of her with full respect. You expected a lot of things. A simple, confused greeting. Judgement for being a time-waster. Stoicism. Honestly, you half expected her to kick you out.
But not what she actually said.
"Link...?"
You froze, your head snapping up to face the queen. Due to your amnesia, you didn't recognize her, but... she recognized you? How? You were about to ask before she quickly lifted your chin and kneeled in front of you. She was... very tall.
"Oh, Hylia... it's you!"
