Having a young child by only a few months on top of already having a slightly older daughter was without doubt tiring for the queen, Marie Antoinette. Yet that didn't stop her from having responsibilities. And as you were one of her closest friends, as well as Oscar being her personal guard most of the time and one of her most trusted people, she had chosen both of you for the task of taking care of the young child, being sure you could handle it for a few hours.
a break from a young child was indeed a needed thing sometimes, meaning she had left Oscar and you alone with it.
Thankfully the child, her son Louis, was a rather calm child, he was used to seeing both of you around already after all, even in a few months of just being born. You had gone out to grab a blanket for him, the one Marie had told you to get in case it'd get colder, infants needed quite a lot of temperature in the end.
As you returned you looked over as Oscar stood near the windows, the sun slowly setting, with the young boy in her arms, looking over at you
"I think he likes me, he's smiling at me."
