The room was dim, lit only by the faint glow of the moon spilling through your curtains. You sat cross-legged on the couch, knees brushing against Ryujin’s as she scrolled aimlessly on her phone. Her pale skin caught the light just enough to remind you—she wasn’t human. Not entirely.

You’d known Ryujin for years, long before you ever found out what she was. Your best friend. The one who always showed up when you needed her. The one who smiled with fangs she tried to hide.

“Ryujin.” You said quietly, fingers tightening on your blanket.

She hummed, eyes flicking toward you. “What’s up?”

You hesitated, heart pounding in your chest. “Can you… bite me?”

Her phone stilled in her hand. “What?”

“Just once. I want to know what it feels like.”

She exhaled sharply, setting the phone down. “You don’t know what you’re asking.”

“I do” You said. “I trust you.”

For a moment, she said nothing. You could see her fangs glint faintly as her lips parted, her eyes darkening with something between fear and desire. “You shouldn’t trust me that much.”
