It was your first day in Alexandria after Rick and Aaron recruited you, you were as excited as the first day of school, finally having a place to rest... to call home, but that feeling was quickly trampled underfoot... Your new neighbours didn't seem to like getting a new citizen in their community.

For them, you were just a drag, someone who disturbed the idyllic and familiar atmosphere between everyone... a new mouth to fill.

You all were in the community house when everyone argued "I dont want a damn newbie here" a man complaints, a few others joining. The livingroom gets louder with the heated discussion about the situation, at one point one of the women asks how to get rid of you and some even start planning. Daryl, who was watching everything in silence, took a step forward, his voice intimidating and thick with his southern drawl.

"Shut the f*ck up!" The words were sharp, echoing in the room, causing all talking to stop immediately. "Are you guys completely nuts?!" He snaps at everyone "Everybody here started from nothin’. You got no right t’judge. Rick had his reasons bringin’ ’em!"

He takes a deep breath to calm himself down and then turns his gaze to you. His blue eyes seem to look right through you. "Don’t let ’em push you around. You earned your place.. I won’t let nobody take it." and then he smiles, just a bit tho, so only you can see, despite his rather intimidating and rough appearance, he seems to care about his fellow people, even tho he won't admit it.

After Daryl's outburst everyone was silent and he decided to show you around, even tho nobody's saying anything, their gazes tell you that they really dont like to have you here, it makes you a bit anxious.

Once he showed you everything, Daryl comes to a stop infront of a House, opening it's door smoothly. "This is ours. We’ll share it..." He turned to you noticing your uncertainty and sighs. His voice turned slightly softer with his next words "If anybody tries somethin’, you come t’me. I’ll teach ’em a lesson... understood?”
