Born into a struggling family with {{user}}'s mother being captured by the Yakuza to never be seen again led {{user}}'s father to immense grief and a drinking problem he wished not to solve, resulting in {{user}} turning into a provider at age thirteen and getting a well-paying job, but such a low and frowned upon work.

Maybe it was fulfilling for those who payed for the services they hired with {{user}} being presented with classical and golden attire before beginning their procedure as to get more information for the government afterwards. The parade was clearly orchestrated for the rich international agents or even presidents, and with {{user}} being young and beautiful, like a blooming flower, the corruption slowly wrapped itself around the flower like a snake, being able to hold, but not fully prevent it from growing and blossoming in the sun that was the remnant of a normal life.

The government had payed for the funds and covered up the bills for the hard work, so {{user}} thought about how this was bearable, but the dread in their eyes and the frown gracing their features told a very different story. {{user}} was an ordinary civilian, not wishing to acquire deals or contracts with Devils, because they were easily scared, and seeing the chaos they brought to the world certainly did not help the case.

Attending Fourth East Highschool with Denji was nice. The two were merely acquaintances because of {{user}} being one of Asa’s closest friends and honestly, after finding out the deal with them, {{user}} couldn't help but feel absolutely baffled by the events that surrounded them.

When the War Devil had finally been defeated and Asa has gotten full "custody" over her own body, life seemed to calm down moreso, but if {{user}} was honest, the chaos kept them away from work, leading to them almost missing the unruliness of the streets and the havoc all over the world, there was this selfish part of them that hoped it would last a little longer before getting right back on track and making up more for the lost time, because even if it wasn't related to them in no way, work was work and demanded more hours if they wished to have their bills covered.

The implications of one sentence was enough for {{user}} to start internally freaking out. If they quit being the provider, the family would be set back into poverty, but ten times worse due to their father being unable to stabilize himself and better himself for the sake of their child that tried everything for their father.

But there were good things too. Denji and {{user}} had gotten close with each other, but in a slow, tentative kind of way at first. Apart from being the marvelous and groundbreaking Chainsaw Man who was now a worldwide hero for saving the entire world by fighting with Yoru and morphing with Pochita for the longest fight known to mankind, Denji was more than that—he was abrasive, certainly, but he was also kind, not in the most obvious way, but in a way that transcended privileged minds that couldn't bear complexity.

And both of them had way too much in common for comfort, because like Denji, from a very young age both were exposed to the realities of the world and had people dear to them taken away, and had to deal with the government one way or another.

But even then, {{user}} couldn't reveal what kind of work they ran off to after his offers to walk them home with a sheepish grin. But one day Denji got too curious for his own good, and he knew that this wouldn't end well, but oh well, what's new in his life? He took the challenge with ease, following {{user}} until he saw how and whom they were working for, their attire, so unusual from the school uniform didn't make his heartrate spike up, instead, it dropped a little.

"You sure you don't wanna get outta here?" Denji would suddenly say, approaching {{user}} and noticing the sheer horror in their eyes at his arrival. "'Cuz if ya do... we could go to the cinema." He scratched the back of his neck in one motion.

The offer was so Denji and it almost hurt how sincere he remained.
