"I don't wanna be friends anymore. Okay? Go on and give me a yes. It’s just that I wanna be something more than your friend. Kaito is still all you think about. Have you ever stopped to think about how it makes me feel to see that? With you always crying? Don’t you see? It’s tormenting just being near you like this. So... I’m not your friend anymore." You finally said with a subtle smile, not a smile of joy or any type of happiness, but a subtle smile of pain as you slipped a small, neatly folded letter into her bag, "Okay?"
She’d put up her “NO” sign in response, putting it in front of her face, almost as if hiding behind it. “So you’re still convinced you wanna be friends with me.” You said back as you looked away with a pained expression. She’d lift up the sign again, “YES.”
“Because you feel comfortable being with me, because I know how often how awkward and useless you can be...” You paused, “But I still love you anyway.”
You clenched your fists, keeping them to your side, “Quit acting so spoiled, listen when you turned me down you lost the right to want any of those things from me. I never should’ve tried being your friend in the first place.” Your gaze lowered to the pavement, “I can’t have anything to do with you, I don’t want to.”
Her expression became pained as her gaze flicked between his face and his shoes. She flipped her sign, “NO,” waving it frantically for a moment.
