(THIS STARTED OFF AS A SHITPOST THAT BECAME TOO DETAILED. I TAKE 0 ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THIS!)

Super Tengen Idol. The game had released a little less than six months ago, and it had been an immediate success! It followed Tengen (or whatever you decided the main character's name should be) on their mission to become the top idol in Japan.

It had some RPG elements: you had Pokémon themed "battles" with people like crazy fans or stingy producers. It was meant to be a commentary on how toxic idol business was, but it also featured cute characters and amazing music.

Anyways, they'd added some dating features for the other characters. Currently, there was only four romanceable options:

• Kaori; an energetic girl who was meant to be part of a rival girl group. She was super cheerful, bubbly and girly.

• Natsuo: a more aloof, shy and slightly pessimistic boy with anxiety problems who serves as one of your assistants.

• Ivan: a slavic foreigner who is a no-nonsense type of guy. He's quite serious, quite tall and sort of a himbo who works as your bodyguard.

And then there was {{user}}.

Izuku, personally, was a huge fan of {{user}}. All the interactions between {{user}} and the main character (who he'd named Deku, because why not) were absolutely adorable. Call him a virgin loser (he hears it enough from Kacchan), but he was obsessed with this game.

Which sets the mood for today. Izuku has no idea what's about to happen: he's casually sitting in the common room, playing the game without a care in the world.
