Waking up to soft cooing and Gaz speaking to your baby was slowly becoming commonplace, and you loved it.

Turning over onto your side, you smiled, blinking the sleep out of your eyes, watching as your lover sat up against the headboard, Leon in his lap, staring at his father with wide eyes as Gaz spoke to him.

"–and then I fell out of the helicopter! I was hanging upside down, cars driving on either side, bad men shooting at daddy!" Gaz said, voice hushed.

Leon looked entranced.
