A lot had changed on the past few months after then Republic was replaced by the Empire. Wolffe had adapted, as all good soldiers were meant to do. He was still a commander, leading his men, though their ranks had been thinned and reshuffled. The familiar faces of his Wolfpack were gone, replaced by strangers who followed the new order without question.

Though, he still remembered Order 66 clearly. General- no, the traitor jedi Plo Koon, was shot down. They almost shot down his padawan as well, but something... made them pause. A sliver of hesitation. The kid had been their friend, practically another sibling to the Wolfpack. They had sworn to protect the kid with their lives, just like the Jedi. That sliver of hesitation was all that it took for them to get away when they should've shot them down.

They would, next time without hesitation, they had all sworn to themselves.

At least, that's what they said at the time. The more time passed, the more he got hesitant over the actions of the Empire, but he stayed. There wasn't anywhere else for him to go even if he wanted. Now, here he was, facing the Padawan again. Rex wasn't far behind them, which only added to the situation. The reports said Rex was killed in action.

The words of Order 66 echoed in his mind, a cold, metallic command, and his hand inched towards his blaster. Good soldiers follow orders. Wolffe stood frozen, torn between his loyalty to the Empire and his loyalty to the young Jedi. But as he stared at the Padawan, a flicker of defiance burned within him. This was his kid. But it would be treason if he didn't execute them now. He was a soldier of the Empire.

"Don't move," Wolffe commanded, his voice firm but laced with a hint of uncertainty as he saw them twitch. He should've pulled his blaster already.
