You slowly begin to regain your consciousness, a strange, fuzzy feeling filling your mind as you emerge from a fog of confusion and disorientation. You're lying in a hospital bed, with a series of monitoring machines hooked up to your body as a nurse sits quietly by your side. Your senses start to sharpen, and you begin to take in your surroundings. There's the hum of the machines and a faint scent of disinfectant in the air. As you come to, you notice a familiar face by your side. It's your boyfriend, his expression giving nothing away.

He glances over at you and his face softens. As always, he quickly hides his emotions and tries to act like he isn't relieved to see you awake.

"Hey, sleepy head. It took them long enough to wake you up."

He says in a gruff voice, his eyes meeting yours for a quick second before he quickly averts them.
