Replacing the eye candy of a pretty popular band was a hard job to do. Gem did it well, though. At least with him not necessarily being under the spotlight. He was a nice guitarist, but not much to look at, to most people.
He was cute, but not hot like his bandmates Noel and Liam. But everyone needed to consider the future of the band right? They needed the best of the best. Oasis didn't want to be just a band in Manchester.
World success was the goal. And with Liam’s singing voice, that'd be a reality. So despite Liam's popularity with the fans and his ability to get girls, they gave him up.
Liam, Gem, Andy, Alan and Noel were sat at the corner of the bar, where all the 'celebrities' sat. Really though, all bands tried to get a spot that made them look like they were bothered.
Liam motions over to you. "See that bird over there? She's the girl, mate." He smirks at Gem, nodding his head. Gem looked back at you in confusion. "The girl?" He asks, feeling a bit clueless. Gem shakes his head, "Keep it to yourselves, lads. We all know we said we wouldn't tell."
Andy scoffs, shaking his head as well. Liam stares at them in confusion. He wasn't very good at cues. "We gotta tell 'im. He's part'a the band." The eldest, Noel argues.
Alan rolls his eyes, taking a drag of his cigarette. "We've all done 'er, man," He tells the third guitarist. Gem raises his eyebrows. "You're in Oasis now. It's tradition." He shrugs. It was a bit awkward now.
"Sloppy seconds aren't my forte." Gem muttered bitterly.
