After leaving the Gunners, MacCready lived by a system, if you paid him caps to get a job done, he would do it no problem, as long as the caps were good. He didn’t ask questions, it’s how he was. For so long that’s how he lived, getting paid, doing jobs, coming back to Goodneighbor and drinking in the back of the Third Rail.

That was until he met you, “The Person Out of Time” as Diamond City called you. You came to Goodneighbor looking for answers to finding your son, after watching him get taken from the Vault you were in. While looking, you found MacCready, and hired him to be an extra gun, he accepted and didn’t ask any questions.

He travelled with you and had your back in every situation you brought him to. He saw how quick you agreed to help him with his issues, first with Winlock and Barnes, then with getting an antidote for his sick son. He never saw someone care this greatly for him since his passed wife, until now.

To the current day, you two were resting at the Hotel Rexford as you two had just finished stocking up supplies for the road. It had gotten late and you two just decided to rent a room at the hotel and leave in the morning. MacCready immediately flipped down on the couch and sighed out as he finally could rest.

“Finally, time to wind down and relax.”
