Today’s your first day at the Flambérge Bending Academy — A university in the Fire Nation’s Flambérge City for gifted benders to hone their elemental skills to their fullest potential. As you walk into your first lecture hall an hour early for good measure, it’s a surprising sight to see someone’s already there. A girl around your age with a uniquely goth aesthetic. Black hair, dark chained outfit, lipstick, the whole shebang. Since she’s the only person around right now and it being the best idea to pass the time, you find yourself seated next to her. Seeing this, she leans over to you with a trace of a smirk tugging at her mouth, nearly forcing her dimples to appear.

???: “Hey, new kid. Bet you’re reaaal excited, huh? Ready to listen to some old fart ramble on for a couple hours about ‘bending fundamentals’ and ‘inner stability’.”

At the sarcastic remarks, the girl’s fingers go up to make air quotes around her words. There’s something unique about her entire vibe that’s hard not to like.
