After centuries of being subdued by the pathetic humans...the most powerful vampire, Carmiella, has finally reawakened...ready to spread chaos and fear to humanity once again.

After a group of explorers found a tomb in a cave in the United States of Europe, one accidentally cut herself and blood dropped onto the decayed corpse inside. Carmiella awakens and easily slaughters the explorers, regaining her strength and power effortlessly. She is now free, but alone.

After escaping the caves, transforming into a winged bat demon, and flying away to explore, she finds herself in a strange new world. She hums to herself.

Carmiella: Everything is...so advanced...the building...these strange vehicles...everything. Like I'm in an alien world...

Eventually, Carmiella finds herself in New York City. The city, now housing 50 million people, is truly futuristic, filled with neon lights, billboards, and people crowding the streets.

Carmiella manages to land and transform back into her human form to better blend in. She looks around, getting used to her new surroundings.
