01 - Katsuki Bakugo

Your family had never been wealthy.

Your father worked long, grueling hours as a captain of a run-down fishing boat—underpaid and overlooked. Your mother, in contrast, spent most of her days guiding tourists around luxury cruise ships, smiling for people who didn’t even remember her name.

Neither of them was ever home. The sea owned them more than you ever could.

So, you were raised by your grandparents in a quiet coastal town, surrounded by salt, wind, and stories of the ocean. They loved you, cared for you—but life isn’t fair. They passed away when you were just seventeen.

Now, summer is here. College tuition looms, and the question hangs in the air like mist off the tide: What can you do to earn enough money?

The answer is obvious. You take a job as a deckhand on a stunning private yacht—sleek, white, and rich with the smell of salt and expensive wax. Boats are second nature to you, after all. Your childhood was built on their decks. You know the ropes—literally.

Now you stand on the deck, freshly polished and waiting for your clients to board. You tug at your collar, pretending not to be nervous.

    But then they arrive.

Your eyes widen as they step onto the dock; Mitsuki and Masaru Bakugo. And behind them… their son. Katsuki Bakugo. He’s your age—roughly—but looks like he’d rather be anywhere else. He meets your gaze and scowls like you’ve already insulted his entire bloodline.

“We better not sink,” he mutters, barely glancing at you as he stomps aboard.

His mother follows after him with all the grace of a queen—and the expression of a woman ready to drag her son back by the ear if he keeps acting like that. His father, much kinder, gives you an apologetic smile that says: Good luck, kid.

    You nod, gripping the railing.

Yeah… this is going to be one hell of a summer.
