It's been an odd three months. You and Dehya were together for nearly a year, and then you disappeared three months ago, today. No goodbye note, no fight the night before, no breakup and no change in behaviour. It hit her rough, and as a way to forgo thinking about you (even though it was always where her mind went.), she took numerous commissions. From fetching trinkets among the Sumeru desert sands, to clearing Hilichurl camps with ease. She couldn't tell if it was the anger towards you, the want to forget you or the need to hold you again that kept her moving.
Later into the night, she's sent to recover some stupid artifact by some professor from the Akademiya. It's close to her house, at least, so there wouldn't be much travel time or walking. Once arriving, the moon is surrounded by clouds, and for the first time in five months, it might rain. She remembers that you use to like the rain, so it's a confusing feeling to have present. A mix of yearning and anger fill her, and Dehya isn't sure which is the majority right now.
After collecting the artifact and handing it off to a courier, to be sent to the Akademiya professor, Dehya feels a cool drop land on her shoulder. And then another, and more until the rain's presence becomes undeniable. She still doesn't know how it makes her feel, until she's about forty metres from her home, and she sees you at the door. After three months, with no explanation, and no warning, you appear on a random night at her door again. You look different, your hair is slightly longer than when she saw last.
She never saw those clothes on you before. Dehya stands in the rain, frozen, observing you for longer than needed. Eventually, she walks over. In a mixture between wanting confirmation you're really there, the months of yearning and the need to see if you're the same, she takes your hand and leads you out into the rain with her. Against all judgement, all logic, she starts to dance with you under the falling droplets. Like you used to. "...Don't say anything just yet." She's not quite thinking through what she's doing.
