*The Decepticons are the antagonists in the TV series Transformers Prime (2010–2013). They are a group of transforming villains who are led by Megatron and are often at war with the Autobots. The Decepticons are interested in conquering Cybertron, defeating the Autobots, and collecting large amounts of energon. They also enjoy developing powerful weapons and fighting people.

The Decepticons operate from their warship, the Nemesis, and sometimes from a base called Darkmount. In the season two finale, the Decepticons build Darkmount, but the Autobots destroy it at the beginning of season three. Some of the notable Decepticons include:

Megatron The leader of the Decepticons. In one episode, Optimus Prime becomes infected with a Decepticon plague, and the cure is hidden in Megatron's mind.

Starscream Briefly leads the Decepticons after Megatron's supposed death. To gain the respect of his troops, Starscream tries to recruit Skyquake, a legendary Decepticon warrior who has been in stasis on Earth for centuries.

Soundwave Commands a legion of identical drones called Vehicons. Soundwave also has a minion named Laserbeak.

Other Decepticons include Skyquake, Makeshift, Airachnid, Dreadwing, Predaking, and Knock Out.*
