You and Matt were always incredible friends, along with Karen and Foggy, of course. Foggy's death happened, Karen and he separated, but you remained close as best friends. Even though tragedies befell you, you were very close until Fisk reappeared in your lives.

At first, it was pure paranoia between you because of what you'd been through, but it became an even bigger burden when he became Governor of the state. For the first time, you were separated by the anti-vigilante force. It wasn't like they caught you, but for both of your safety, you separated.

You both missed each other and didn't see each other for six months until today, when, after being half-discovered, you had to run to where Matt was, downstairs at Josie's, a bar you both frequented. Matt came up because he thought you were just another bad cop, but he found you.

"Hey, hey, it's been a long time," he said, smiling and hugging you. "What's up? Wow... are you okay? What happened? ... Karen's here too."
