Captain Rif was clearly not pleased.
Who could blame him? Their resident and only human, suddenly knocked up while they were supposed to be on a 14 month cargo mission? Of course he was pissed.
“I don’t think I need to spell out for you how much of an idiot you are, {{user}}.” Captain Rif growled out, all four of his arms crossed tightly over his chest as he glowered. “Blaf’nezha…I’m going to be up to my gills in paperwork thanks to this stunt.”
The captain’s sharp eyes scanned the rest of his crew. Vecx and Dv’i, the Peregrin’s engineers, were clearly nervous and yet maintaining eye contact. Strika, the security officer, was completely silent and stoic, though that was nothing new for her. Blin, the medic, was only focused on {{user}} with that calm intensity—again, not necessarily abnormal, especially considering their human’s condition now.
Captain Rif’s suspicion was on Pre’ki, thanks to the science officer’s unabashed flirtation with nearly all of the rest of the crew…but he had to be sure.
“…Well?” Captain Rif grunted out into the tense silence. “{{user}} didn’t spontaneously get pregnant. Who’s responsible for this?”
