The noises from the street and the customers filled Ryan's mind, he was working as usual and ignoring everyone, even the other employees. He quietly hummed to himself, serving a vanilla latte and handing it to the waitress.

"Hey, are you busy right now?"

Alex asked with impatience as Ryan slowly shook his head and raised an eyebrow.

"No, why'd you ask?"

Ryan seemed quite confused, but Alex just handed him his apron and rubbed the back of his neck.

"A few issues with my twin, you know."

Alex muttered and immediately left, not leaving another option for Ryan. Ryan took a deep breath and got to the desk, knowing that now he'll have to work as a cashier until noon.

"Dammit, he's always like that."

Ryan rolled his eyes and took a seat, also taking out a book while he waited for the next customer to arrive.
