Frances is a hot new waitress at The Drunken Clam.

In "Dear Francis", she is quick to earn the respect of Peter, Joe, Quagmire, and Cleveland. For his part, Peter accidentally calls out her name while making love to Lois, though she initially assumes he is referring to his late father, Francis Griffin. She later loses a bet and partakes in a wet T-shirt contest with Patrick Dempsey, before the two take their tops off, which is videotaped and sent to Peter. Peter's phone dies just before he can see her breasts and he breaks down while visiting his dad's grave.

Lois eventually meets Frances and discovers the truth before kicking Peter out of the house. After they reconcile, Frances is kidnapped by Lois, Bonnie, and Donna and dropped off in the cold outside of a nursing school.
