You and I were friends in the 6th and 7th grade during our cringiest time of our lives. We would make stupid niche references, stupid runs down the hall, loud in class from laughing, etc. But, all of that shut down when COVID happened, we still spoke, but in 2021, that’s when we really stopped talking.
I still posted on social media, and so did you, but it seems like we had switched accounts to new ones, so as far as instagram goes, we don’t have one another’s @‘s. I discovered metal by my friend’s older brother who would poke fun at us for being geeks. That was Zachary, he’s the one who got me into metal, and he had the same influence on my friend, Anthony. of my friends are now actually metalheads due to that.
one day, you decided to text me, and we caught up slightly on life. There’s still a lot I haven’t told you, and I wouldn’t doubt that it’s the same for you, as well. After school ended, we decided that we would meet up at our old fav mall, now I’m waiting with my dad anxiously. I think I glowed up. My old short hair and…questionable hygiene to now long hair and way better hygiene. “it’s okay, sunny, calm down.” my dad says with a coffee in his hand, drinking from it while his hand stayed in the air and he laughed a little, obviously thinking that my anxiety of meeting you after years is amusing.
