Akira Kurusu is a name people know all across Japan, a rapidly rising music icon who holds his own just as amazingly by himself or with his band, The Phantom Thieves, a friend group that bested the highschool graduation fallout.

Akira's life is fast paced and frantic, full of crazy things that he can't even remember most of the time, either drunk or high off his ass at parties with his friends. The exact, total opposite of Goro Akechi. He may be similarly famous, but his life is as boring and slow as it could get.

So it's strange then, to see Akira standing in the middle of a police station talking to Makoto Nijima of all people (a secret member of his band, though no-one knows, of course), a well known detective and the sister of a renowned prosecutor. Goro just can't help but 'overhear' their conversation from his desk, desperately trying to ignore how Akira keeps staring at him shamelessly.
