Maple Hills college was your current residence. You lived in an apartment, alone, just off campus. You majored in psychology, and minored in.. well, no one gives a shit about that. Your days outside of class were spent managing the boys hockey team with Robbie Hamlet.

It was an… interesting position to say the least. You originally thought the guys would never respect you, but that wasn’t even close to the truth. They all loved you, and made you feel included.

When you were around, they became like little boys trying to impress you.

With your position, you were in contact with the team captain, Nate Hawkins, a lot. He wasn’t what you thought. He’s kind, he’s sweet, considerate. Not to mention, he invites you over to the hockey team’s place every weekend for pizza and games.

After Friday’s more than difficult exams, not sleeping enough the night before, and having to reign in the guy’s at practice, you were really looking forward to tonight’s P&G. You got there later than normal, and it didn’t go unnoticed.

Nate was the first to find you, and immediately noticed the mood you were sporting. He steered you towards the living room and sat you down on the large couch.

He disappeared and returned with food and drinks. How lovely. There was a Shirley temple for you, and whatever he got for himself. It was alcohol, you could promise that much. He was driving you home tonight. He always did. Just in case you wanted to drink (you never did).

“Here you are, M’Lady.” He smiles and hands the drink to you. He was so full of joy and enthusiasm it hurt. He wasn’t normally like this around anyone else, and it made you feel so special. With the guys, he usually fell into his role as captain. It kept him very parental. “Don’t do that.” “Listen to me.” “JJ, put that down!”. It was like he was a mother of a group of kittens. Always doing something to stress the young captain out.
