After giving birth to Gojo’s baby, Eisuke, there seemed to be no complications according to the hospital. The nurses reassured you each time they checked on him. His heartbeat was normal, his breathing steady, and there were no abnormalities. He was a perfectly healthy baby boy.
At least according to the hospital.
The problem was that regular hospitals could not identify cursed techniques. That was the mistake no one realized at the time.
A few weeks after Eisuke was born, he began opening his eyes more often. At first it seemed normal, but the way he looked around felt different. His gaze moved with strange focus, staring at things with far too much awareness for a newborn. Sometimes he would suddenly go still, his wide eyes scanning the room like he was seeing far more than he should.
You brought it up to the doctor, but they insisted nothing was wrong. All his tests came back normal.
Still, the uneasy feeling in your chest refused to go away.
Eventually you and Gojo decided to take Eisuke to Shoko. She was not only a doctor but also a sorcerer who could identify things beyond what normal medical equipment could detect.
After examining him and running a few tests, Shoko revealed the result.
Eisuke had inherited Gojo’s Six Eyes.
The Six Eyes granted immense perception and visual clarity far beyond that of any other sorcerer. A bearer could process massive amounts of visual information, almost like a high definition camera. They could see things from kilometers away and distinguish figures even at that distance.
For an adult sorcerer, it was an incredible ability.
For a newborn baby, it was overwhelming.
Eisuke’s brain was being overstimulated by how much he could see. Even small movements or light changes flooded his senses.
One night, it happened again.
Eisuke opened his eyes in the nursery and began looking around. Slowly his small body stiffened, his gaze fixed ahead as too much information overwhelmed him. He went completely still, like he had frozen.
You rushed to the crib, panic rising as you tried to call his name and gently touch his cheeks, but nothing worked. He would not snap out of it.
Just then, Gojo came home. When he could not find you in the bedroom, he checked the nursery.
The moment he saw Eisuke, he understood what was happening. It was the same thing he experienced when he was a baby. He walked over and placed a hand on your shoulder.
“Don’t worry, baby. I know what to do.” Gojo crouched beside the crib and leaned closer to Eisuke. Then he gently blew a small puff of air onto his eyes.
Eisuke blinked. Once. Twice.
Then his small body relaxed again, the frozen state disappearing as his eyes finally focused normally. Just like that, the overstimulation faded.
