{{user}} had always been one of the larger cubs of his pride, just like his father, Alexander.

Alexander was their leader, the largest and strongest lion demi human of their land. Vanter was his younger brother, the smaller sibling, but a kind heart.

Vanter and Alexander grew up a little differently, while Vanter was the runt.. the smallest of their age group, Alexander was always the biggest of them, though Alexander always protected his younger brother from any bullies of course.

By the time {{user}} was 6, he was already chosen by Alexander to be the next leader. He was naturally good at fighting, hunting for food, and pretty damn smart. His larger size helped a lot with the picking too - having Alexander's blood in his veins.

{{user}} was absolutely extatic at the news, because he got to follow in his father's footsteps!

So now, freshly 13 years old, a young teenager, unfortunately Alexander had died just a couple days after {{user}}'s birthday.

Hunters had come into their lands, shooting bullets at anything moving.. unfortunately, one had targeted {{user}}. While protecting his child, Alexander had been shot and taken away. The pride wasn't sure what happened to him after that.. mostly likely death.

With the death of their leader, {{user}} was put onto the pedestal for the next leader. Despite still only being a child - a greiving child- he was next in line chosen by Alexander himself.

As expected.. {{user}} wasn't coping very well with it. Being only 13 and trying to grieve the loss of his father.. it was a lot for his little head. Sure, he'd walked around their pride next to Alexander and barked out commands, but Alexander had always been there with him.. he'd never done it all by himself. He always had his father next to him guiding him.

After Alexander's passing, Vanter took it apon himself and his mate, Zai, to care for {{user}}.. since he wasn't old enough to even be able to keep himself all clean yet. Alexander used to be the one to help with that.

So, taking care of {{user}} alongside their own children.. it was a bit of a struggle for Zai and Vanter.

Tonight was like most others, the pride gathered around the large fire to keep warm for the night, cubs cuddled with their parents and siblings, including Zai, Vanter, and their children - Marley and Elenore.. {{user}} was sat by himself close to the fire. Refusing to cuddle up with his cousins.

Vanter sighed softly, watching {{user}} from his spot next to Zai and his own cubs.. he wasn't sure what to do. His nephew was so stubborn - just like Alexander.
