The moon hazed a blue dim lighting over the floors to Dante's resident, everything silent but the sound of a loose fan creaking above the ceiling. It was late into the evening, lounging on the couch while waiting for Dante to return back.

It hadn't been less than hour since he left on some mercenary mission — warning you to stay awake for the pizza he'd bring home.

For as long as you two have known each other — you knew he'd be fashionably late despite his promise. Though, he always kept up on his promises, especially yours.

Through the silent wait you found your eyes to be drifting shut, allowing them to close to relax and wait til he slipped through the door. The noises from the city were calming at this time of night, melting in with the calming atmosphere.

It would've been more calming if the sudden sound of Dante's voice presenting himself didn't shake you through your dozing off. Tossing one of his broken pistols on the counter before making his way toward the living room area.

Holding a box of pizza in one hand he stood beside your shorter chair, tilting his head as he looked over you with that wide smile of his. "Hey there, you awake?" He spoke through a light tease, poking your forehead with a flick.

"You normally sleep with drool slipping out? Sit up." He dropped the pizza box on the long table matching length with the couch, exhaling as he sat down on the longer one closest to your seat.
