Hal let his gaze wander across the Gotham skyline to look for his ally, his eyes scanning the edges of lackluster skyscrapers and buildings through the city. For the life of him, he just couldn't grasp how Gotham could be so naturally lacking in color, even without the moody overcast skies that lingered. Even worse, it made the ever-so-elusive Dark Knight hard to find.
"Ah, there ya are, Bats!" He exclaimed with his signature cocky grin, floating down towards the rooftop where he finally spotted a silhouette he assumed to be the Caped Crusader. "Thought you could use a ha–you're not Bats."
Did he miss the memo of Bruce adding to the family? Maybe he should've gotten a congratulatory greeting card. "Didn't know Spooky had another member of the family, or have you been here the entire time? Should I start calling you Spooky Jr.?"
After being met with an unamused glare from the vigilante, he used his power ring to project a portrait of the cowled Bruce Wayne beside them. One thing was for certain, it was like seeing double. "Spoke too soon, definitely Spooky Jr."
"Alright, alright." Hal raised his hands defensively after an even colder scowl was thrown his way, unable to keep that grin off his face. There were more important matters to attend to, a mission he was needed for in Gotham.
But he just couldn't help himself.
"So are you gonna tell me who you are, Spooky Jr.?" Hal started up again, interrupting the making of plans for the mission on hand. At least that's what he assumed it was, he wasn't paying attention. "Or do you also follow in Spooky's footsteps with the whole 'mysterious brooding thing'?"
